Backups and getting your site back

You don’t need a backup plugin. We back up every site for you.

What we keep #

  • Every night, a full copy of your site: its database (pages, posts, products, orders, customers, settings) and its files (themes, plugins, photos).
  • Daily copies for the last 7 days, and weekly copies for the last 4 weeks.
  • Copies are stored away from the servers your site runs on.
  • Every day we test that a backup really restores, by restoring one into a separate test site and checking it opens.

When a site is taken offline (for example, when a plan ends), it’s backed up first. After a site is deleted, its backups are kept for 90 days.

Getting your site back #

Something went wrong, like a deleted page, a bad plugin update or a change you regret? Email support@anypress.io with your site name and roughly when it was last right. We’ll bring back the copy you need.

Sellers and resellers can back up and restore their clients’ sites themselves, from Backups at app.anypress.io.

Backup plugins #

Backup and site-moving plugins (UpdraftPlus, Duplicator and others like them) can’t be added, because your site already has both. To bring a site in from another host, see Move a WordPress site to AnyPress.
