Send email from your own domain

Your site sends its own email: receipts, password resets, form notifications, bookings and newsletters. It’s set up from the start, so there’s nothing to install. Email plugins that send through another service (SMTP plugins) aren’t needed and can’t be added.

Where email comes from #

  • At first, your site sends from its own address at anypress.io, like yourname@anypress.io.
  • Once you add your domain, it sends from no-reply@yourbusiness.com.

Send from your own domain #

  1. Go to your account and choose Manage website.
  2. Under Email Sender, type your domain in Sending Domain and choose Use this domain.
  3. The page lists the DNS records to add. Add them where your domain is managed, or use Connect automatically if your DNS host offers it.
  4. We check for the records every 10 minutes. The status says Waiting for DNS records until they’re found, then Sending. Your site switches over by itself.

To go back to our address, remove the domain from the same section. Your site switches back within 10 minutes.

How many emails can I send? #

Every plan includes emails each month:

Size Emails a month
Small 5,000
Medium 20,000
Large 50,000

If you need more, buy an email pack from your account. Pack emails never expire, and they’re only used once a month’s included emails run out.

If you reach your limit, only bulk email (newsletters and campaigns) pauses until the next month or until you add a pack. Receipts, password resets and other everyday emails keep going.
